About Jeffrey Barnes

He combines an extensive background in business with a wide range of legal experience to provide his clients with a uniquely practical perspective. Jeff has been engaged in the private practice of law since 1997 where he focuses on estate planning and administration, business succession planning, real estate and business transactions. He believes in the importance of proper planning not only for his clients and their peace of mind, but for the security of their families as well. Jeff strives to help clients and their families preserve their wealth, prepare for the future and address new issues as they arise by having strong relationships with his clients and their families and by incorporating modern technology and planning techniques.

Experience

Jeff is licensed to practice law in New Jersey as well as the United States District Court. He is also a member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, the nation’s premier organization promoting high standards of excellence and integrity in the legal profession. The Academy limits its membership to only those attorneys of the highest moral character.

Education

Jeff earned his bachelor’s in Business Administration and Marketing with a minor in finance from Cabrini College with honors and his Juris Doctor degree from Roger Williams University.

Personal

Outside the office, Jeff adores spending time with his wife and their two sons. He also enjoys exercising, especially playing squash at Greate Bay Racquet & Fitness Club in Somers Point. Jeff serves on the Board of Trustees for the Ocean City Arts Center and is the Treasurer for the Marmora Pack 79 cub-scout organization.
